Rapid Access Clinics
To improve access, we now run rapid access clinics every morning. Appointments are usually not necessary. Simply turn up between 9:00am and 11:30am and you can wait to be seen. The reception team will be able to give you an indication of waiting times but generally, waiting times are considerably shorter before 10.00am.
Monday – Thursday 9am – 6:30 pm
Friday 9am – 5pm (last appointment 4.20pm)
Vacation Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (last appointment 4.20pm)
These can be made on the day or booked in advance, by person or by telephone. Telephone consultations are available with both the doctors and the nurses and can be useful, particularly if you live off campus. To arrange a telephone consultation, speak to a member of the reception team who will take a contact number and arrange for the doctor or nurse to call you at a mutually convenient time.
These are for emergencies and are only undertaken for medical reasons, the housebound or the terminally ill. A request for a visit will be discussed with you and it may be decided that you should attend the surgery. Please note that distance or lack of finance is not an acceptable reason for a home visit.
Over 75 Home visits
If you are over 75 and have not seen your GP in the last 3 years, a home visit may be arranged to assess your medical needs.
