Accurx Scribe DPA Governance and compliance Policy

Our practice is trialling Accurx Scribe, an AI-assisted “note taker,” until 31 December 2025. If the pilot is successful, we plan to adopt it permanently from 2026 onwards.

What it does:

  • Listens during your consultation and creates draft notes.
  • Only information relevant to your consultation is recorded, casual conversations or unrelated details are not documented, recorded or stored.
  • Your clinician will always review and approve these before adding them to your record.

Benefits:

  • Frees up time for your clinician to focus on you.
  • Helps keep clear and accurate documentation.

Privacy & Security:

  • Meets EU, NHS and UK GDPR standards (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, DSP Toolkit).
  • Audio is transcribed then deleted – no recordings are stored.
  • Notes are encrypted, stored securely in the UK, and only accessible by your care team.
  • Transcriptions are retained for 30 days for review before secure and permanent deletion.

Your choice:

  • You can say no at any time without it affecting your care.
